Head introduced Liquidmetal into its line up of performance tennis racquets last summer. It came first in game improvement racquets and then was added to Andre Agassi’s Radical line of racquets. This year Head’s Liquidmetal technology, which it claims adds 29% more power than titanium, while being 2 ½ times stronger, is offered in the new Liquidmetal Instinct and added into the Prestige series. The Instinct is the largest (100 square inches) and lightest (318 grams) racquet reviewed in this column. These features make the Instinct a very versatile frame with a great balance of power, control and comfort. All-court players and doubles players will reap the benefits of this well rounded racquet the most.
