Selecting a String for your Tennis Racquet
Players that break strings on a regular basis will want to find a string that gives them good durability. Players that do not break strings regularly will want to use a string that gives them good resiliency and feel. Usually strings that offer good playability may not be very durable and strings that are very durable will often have a stiffer and less forgiving feel. Tennis strings range in gauge from 15 (thickest) to 18 (thinnest). Thicker strings, 15 and 16 gauges, will offer more durability, thinner strings, 17 and 18 gauges will offer more performance.
